Hi,
I'm an English Lit student at Cardiff University and I've been thinking about trying to write content articles etc for, well, whoever really. I'm not so bothered about how much I earn really, I mostly just want to practice my writing and begin a portfolio for when I leave Uni and join the real world. I'm not really sure where I should start. I've researched online, but there's been so many websites and different tips that, to be honest, I feel a bit overwhelmed. Can any one suggest ways to get myself going? Or what they look for if they are searching for someone to write content?

Since you're a Literature student, you're perfect as an Academic or Web Content Writer. You can get potential clients from this forum or register in www.kpwriting.com. There are also tons of freelancer sites out there. Good luck!

You can also try helium.com and ezinearticles.com

You might also start your own blog to post your stories in. There are some fiction oriented writers' sites, but I haven't looked into any of them.
