I really kind of doubt that you're going to be able to get cheap and good and reliable. My best suggestion is to team up with a university English department to see if they have any students who would be willing to write articles.
Actually one of the better suggestions I have read in regards to getting content writers...(Always thinking of ways to get free content hehe). Of course most will not do it, or want to be paid too much (they are students, and are poor but chances are they are busy writing their own papers).
What you can do is work with a handful of writers, get one or two articles each from them, and keep working with the better ones and drop the rest. Keep that process going till you have an army of content writers at your disposal.
If you want cheap, I would suggest PLR articles. You can use them as is or tweak them a little to make them unique. A lot of people buy PLR and then hire a rewriter. That results in very cheap work and a better quality than if you underpaid someone to do unique articles from scratch.
A lot have been said about using plr articles. That it is worthless, garbage or perhaps of sub standard writings.
Not all plr articles are created equal. The idea is to know who the real plr content suppliers are and how serious are they in bringing to the table a quality product that will benefit its customers. Almost 99% of plr articles resellers are in it just for quick cash. Sometimes they couldn't even care less what is being sold and never bother to filter and weed out low quality articles from the rest in their bundle. We are also seeing a trend that good writers are selling their own plr products since they can make much more than writing for a $20 500 word article a day. So you see, its not all that bad. In fact its getting better all the time.
I really kind of doubt that you're going to be able to get cheap and good and reliable.
I agree. I find it funny sometimes how some would have a bunch of requirements but wouldn't want to pay fairly. Good writers, take their time and work hard for an article. I've seen a lot of buyers at freelance sites that offer $1 per article, and yet expect to get a good writer..
We are working on a big website on which we will need loads of articles and other written content. Neither of us is a native english speaker and since good content is everything, we want to get the whole bunch written by a native proffessional english speaker (my best bet).
We never outsourced before and I would appreciate some good pointers. What site should we turn to to find the right elancer?
He must be; cheap, good and reliable (ofcourse!)
Does anyone have any experince good or bad with elancers? What is a reasonable price per article? I heard a guru say he gets his best english written articles from eastern europe, which sounds kind of illogical to me, but I am open to suggestions!
Thanks in advance,
Maarten
