Who knows for sure? some say no more than 5 %. I think that's too much already, as in most cases it's no longer readable for your visitors. Think about it: you're reading an article of 500 words on the subject of, say, coffee grinders and find the words coffee grinders in there 25 times. How long before you stop reading the article and close that web page all together?

Who is your target audience?

I'd say writing an article, then, write the article for people, and things like 'keyword density' cease to matter.

How did you come up with that answer? How did you compute for that?

Make your article read well and you will be fine. Keyword density is overrated. Just make it sound natural and people will be more likely to see it as a good article and link to it.

Just make sure your article reads natural while including your all important 'keyword' in 'key' places i.e. your title, first paragraph, sprinkled hear & there throughout, and definitely in your closing paragraph - and you can also create an anchor tag by including your keyword in at least one link in your article or about the author box. These a just a few tips to consider.

That could be a little too dense...it would probably sink.

What if the sea were made of methane - could it float then?

Maybe the real answer is 42?

Wood also floats
so...

If... she... weighs... the same as a duck,... she's made of wood.

And therefore?

For me I work always like this. 2 keywords in first paragraph. 2 in the middle and only 1 in the last paragraph. C.Davis

Only as many as necessary - you aren't going to be listed, say, on Google, for New Cars, if those words don't appear. I'd go with 64.465 keywords per article, the wingspan/weight ratio in summer of the migrating African swallow. Or is it European? Ah!
