Personally I would advise to get someone to write you fresh customized content. Sometimes you can find good writers that will work cheap.

Old articles, no matter what the price, are often out of date and already published elsewhere, which won't help you concerning search engines. :/

If you are buying PLR articles, they won't be unique.
The only way to get 100% unique articles is to hire a writer, or write them yourself. Alternatively, you can have PLR articles rewritten to make them unique.

There are sites like http://www.dailyarticle.com and www.constant-content.com where you can just buy articles for full rights ( they belong to you after you buy them).

Constant-content, though has options like full rights, partial-rights etc and Dailyarticle is just that -- buy it for full rights.

I suggest you don't buy those article packages as ther are almst always duplicate content. Dup content won't get you anything.. traffic or PR.

The best thing to do is hire a content writer. If you are in a shoe string budget, get a content rewriter.

your best option is to hire a copywriter. i use a rewriter. most of the time, new writers still have trouble making their content. it always shows up on copyscape.

It would be really hard to know when your content has been dupped by other sites. With that in mind, would you really like to get duplicate content too? there are plenty of softwares' that can rewrite content but not as accurate as a human writer.

the webmaster guidelines provided by google is pretty upfront about duplicate content being a no-no. if you are using wordpress there are some plugins that address this issue

If you want search engines to read your website, use a software.
If you actually want USER (aka real people) to read your website, hire a writer.

PLR articles that are given out freely will have hundreds of copies floating around the web as most people are too lazy to re-write them to make them more unique. However, by combining parts from several free articles on the same topic and slanting it towards a specific niche, you can often come up with unique content. Also adding various elements to your page increases the uniqueness in the eyes of Google.

If you want to save money over hiring a writer, at least find a place to purchase PLR articles that has a good reputation and that limits the number of licenses. At least that way, you aren't competing with hundreds of other webmasters. You'll still need to re-write but if you have to outsource this, it's generally less expensive than when a writer needs to do the research as well as come up with the content.

Duplicate content is a waste of time according to Google, however how does it know if your article was the original version or the copied version? Say for example I publish an original article on my site, then someone else copies it, how does Google know who was the first? Do they really store all past versions of pages and compare against a back catalogue!? Seems an incredible work load...

Just wanted to add something that I forgot earlier. Duplicate content in the eyes of Google is when you have the same content on multiple pages within your own site, not when you have an article that is also somewhere else on the web. If you think about all the sites that reprint articles from other sites, you will see that it doesn't make sense to be penalized for duplicate content because you reprinted an article that you have permission for. If you doubt this, email Google Adsense and ask.

That being said, you obviously wouldn't want to populate your website with rehashed, over published content. That just wouldn't make sense if you're trying to establish a presence, keep people on your site longer and get them to come back. Reprinting articles judiciously won't hurt you, though.

Which, in itself, is for people who are too lazy to write real (and unique) content. Or have a job.

Stealing and rewriting somebody else's work is stealing, pure and simple. And it's spam, contributing nothing but digital pollution to the internet.

Copyscape helps you to find duplicate articles. The disadvantage is that you only know this after you buy an article.

Sure, you can get hold of PLR content and rewrite it to make it original. But if you're going to do that, why not just write your own? Everyone's a writer. If you doubt me, just cut and paste some of your forum posts (or even blog comments) on a particular subject. You'll have the makings of an article right there. All you have to do is edit it a bit, re-jig it here and there and you can confidently submit it to directories as your own, unique work.
