check out www.blogger.com. It is powered by Google so you know its good and it is very easy to use. Plus you can customize the look to fit any page design you want. We use it for our SEO/Web Design blog:

plus its free as long as you have a google account

I also like WordPress better than Blogger, but I think it is mostly a matter of personal preference. If you're serious about making money online via your blogs (if thats your goal) then you should consider getting your own hosting and domain name. It makes you appear more professional than being on a subdomain.

Also, as far as copywriting goes, you need to practice your writing and grammar skills at all times. Try to type error free and grammatical prose at any online destination that you're contributing content. Practice makes perfect.

I have several blogs on blogger but I am going to switch to wordpress as I have heard the it is more seo friendly and Google likes it more. Once you know your way around it there is a lot more benefit to this. Good luck.

What subject do you plan on blogging on?

I agree Wordpress is a great one, but it also depends what you are writing on, as some subjects they don't allow and it is better to host yourself then.

I definitely agree with using wordpress... i love that you can find so many
more templates and that you can cusotmize your blog with more features.
Whereas with blogger its just a limited selection of templates.

As for copywriting, practice does make perfect, a good resources that I've
used to learn copyrwriting is Hypnotic Marketing by Joe Vitale, I also picked
up Joseph Sugarman's book, The Adweek Copywriting Handbook its an excelent
break down of what you need to know and the strategies you can apply when
writing. The first half of the book is all that tech knowledge stuff that tells you
why it works, but the last half is gold... he gives you tips and techniques.

Hope that gets you started....

You can also your Blogger because they support ads for free. Anyway, your editing skills are the most important tool for you. You can use Article wizards but nothing beats just plain research and good grammar.

If you're planning to add adsense and not planning to host your own blog, you're better off with blogger than wordpress.com.

Want to Earn from your blog? Do not use wordpress.com.

If you are just starting in blogging, it's more recommended to use blogger because it's more user-friendly...
