Where did you pick up the skills to write, by that i don't mean being able to just spell. What made you become a writer too, if you are one that is. Please include links if you have learned to write using websites, if possible.

Greetings. To quote a great writer, I managed to earn my literary skills through reading good books, which I consider as my alma mater. But unfortunately, since the collective information in this world of ours has a value of infinity less 1 over 1 followed by an infinite number of zeros, thus making a value that is closest to that to an infinite value but nevertheless finite, nothing in this universe of ours can collect such information, with the exception, of course, of entities that cannot exist in this universe of ours which is governed by our natural physical laws but can operate outside the bounds of our universe which is a platform governed by laws which cannot exist within this universe we call reality.

By reading other peoples articles you may be able to find your own style of writing. If its articles you want and do not think you are able to do them you can always buy articles from writers with all rights.

I've always been a writer (poetry, music, fiction, etc.), but it was during college that I picked up the skills for successful business writing... and that doesn't just mean writing skills. It means the skills needed to build expertise in a niche, marketing courses, courses in public speaking (surprisingly useful in casual business writing), etc.

For myself I was lucky enough to be able to surround myself with successful people and just by listening picked up a lot of my writing skills and spoken skills.

The biggest challenge is being fluent in all types of writing and speaking. You can be great at writing technical documents and suck at business documents. You can be great at writing poems, but suck at explaining something in a document. You can be great at writing marketing material, but when it comes to sales media you can falter. I found that honing my skills in two or three different "styles" of writing has suited me the best. Some people can put more under their belt then others but understanding that writing isn't just writing, and that the style is just as important as your content, will give you a good start.

English was one of the few subjects in school that I did very well in.

I went to school for Journalism. But you don't have to have formal education in writing -- learn it yourself. Experience and a keen eye are the best tools you can have.

Apart from school where I was fairly ok..ish with English, I found that my writing skills have improved by doing 2 basic things that anyone can apply.

1. Write lots and be critical. I learn by my mistakes every day.

2. Write about subjects that interest you. It's much easier and you write much more compelling articles.

Oh, and another...

3. Relax when writing and have fun. I find some humor helps with what I'm writing about and helps me write more naturally which makes for far better reading.

Why not just start writing, you might find the more you write the better you become. Also reading other peoples writing helps a lot.

Writing a lot by itself won't make you a good writer. If you know the fundamentals and keep writing, you'll likely get better with time and practice. But if you start off as a bad writer, and keep on writing without actually learning how to improve, you'll still be a bad writer.

I attended Chicago Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism, before going into public radio early on. After that, I worked as a legal assistant, where I learned to draft legal documents and correspondence. I think the most beneficial thing for me, has always been just writing. There are many great writers who never went to school -- though it does help. I still don't consider myself an expert, despite my education. I learn new things about the craft, every day.

I'm an avid reader and have always wanted to write something for publication. I took a couple of extension classes at the local college, but nothing more than that.

I have been published in a couple of trade magazines, giving proof to the adage "write what you know." Some of them even paid me. :1eye:
