Need some opinions

First of all, I am a baseball coach at the High School level... I am thinking of starting a membership site that offers 1-4 minute clips on all aspects of baseball. (there are literally hundreds of ideas I have for clips) . I give lessons frequently and thought of the idea to instruct via video clip.... thought of having 2 levels of membership, maybe a 12.99/month for clip access and keep switching in and out new clips every week. then I thought of possible having a "Premium" content section for members that wanted to email questions and have me customize their clip.
Any feedback anyone could give me would be appreciated. thanks...

sounds like a good idea honestly
but a thought i had would be to
have 3 membership levels

smaller time amount clips(say 10 secs) for a free user..
they can comment on it or whatever sort of like the bait to get customers
for the 2nd level

then have the other 2 levels you thought of originally following that
to me i believe your idea would come off to be more successful that way

good idea. maybe you should prepare a course instead - make CD. have your own course is profitable in the short run and maybe in the long run if you're UP in your niche.

In fact, I had a similar idea about the Kung Fu. In Martial Arts, you practise Tao. Tao are fictious fight against several opponent. During the video, you can explain to the student what are the reasons of the movements, what are the real combat situation.

The problem is to find a good way to customize you students.

Sounds like a good idea to me. You should have some sort of free access though...if I can't see at least a little bit of what I'm about to buy I don't really want to buy it.

I agree with wumple. Some 'free' parts is necessary. Without there being something to show them what types of clips you have, there's really no reason to pay.

- membership site should offer many thing to their member not just a video clips.
I think you can try to participate to others membership site and study wat they offer to their member and what these member have more than using the free site.
- add forums, blog,
- Your idea is great if you take your time and develop it more and more. do not forget to identify what you will offer to you site member that more important to free stuff. what is the benefit to member to participate to your web site.
The more question you ask, the more chance you will make an idea about your business.
try to ask your question to others forums, many internet marketing "gurus" use this strategy to collect sources of information and to get more opinions and ideas.

I think the best way might be to try some of your ideas and see what happens. Take the best results and build from there. Just remember we never succeed until we fail.
