My friend is writing me a walkthrough for a game which I will be putting on a website. Would it be better to split it up on multiple pages or keep it all on one page?

I would rather see an article of say 1k+ split up. You don't want to overwhelm your user. The only exception would be a sales letter.

It would be nice if there was one long page to print out though.

think the best way is to make 700 words and a new page, and put some screens into it also

Yes. Screens are a must for game walkthroughs.

If you split it up, you will also increase your page views, increase the number of ads you can show and increase the number of pages search engines will index. All good things.

Hmm. Just make sure that you make a "Print all" button.

And please, please, please, make a layout for the walkthrough. I really can't stand how every game walkthrough is basically a .txt file.

You can also propose a .pdf of the walkthrough with all the images and stuff.

Of course, if you don't own the game copyrights, you can't sell the .pdf.

I use to write articles for a gaming review website. We use to split our pages every 300-400 words with plenty of screenshots. This would not overwheml the reader but at the same would not make it look unfilled.
