I don't really know much about it. It's a great niche and I have no idea if I want to pursue it. If you were in my position, would you research the niche and go forward with it anyways?

Researche the niche and see if you can gather all the info you need to talk honestly about it and answer most of the questions people can ask.

If you find it too difficult to learn the basics of the subject or can't find a partner that know about it, you should leave it.

Or give it to me

Hire yourself a writer to combine articles already written on the subject.

The first thing I do when I go into a new niche is head to my local bookstore and look for the FOR DUMMIES series. I live at the darn bookstore.

Anyway, I go there and take notes on books/mags that I find. From there I start looking up specifics on the Internet. If the niche is something weird and there is no For Dummies or For Idiots or whatever books, I start googling.

With the amount of information floating around, you can get up to speed on any niche in no time.

You can also post articles by other people while you research. You don't have to wait and research it before you start giving people content. You just have to wait to give them YOUR content, you know?

It always helps if you find you enjoy the niche you are going for. If you don't like it, and don't like researching - then the content might show that. Which could then mean less $$...

Using the other people's articles and content can sometimes be very beneficial in this case...although, you may actually just end up passing your visitors on to someone who truly IS an expert in that niche. So that's something to ponder.

Humbly,

Take a look at your competitors. Then think if you can bring up a better product. Then research it and then decide to build a site or not.
