Life in a Vacuum Sucks!

Hi, I was wonderin' if anyone had any experience with eBook Edit Pro, I'm thinking of buying it because of it's security features (ie, tying a book to one computer) as I don't want my eBook getting shared around.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave,

Ebook compilers have really gone the way of the dodo bird when it comes to ebooks. With the plethora of viruses, spyware, and adware users are very hesitant at downloading anything with an .exe extension. The large majority of ebooks are released in Adobe PDF format using their Adobe Acrobat software. If you can't afford Adobe Acrobat PM me for details on resources where you can create PDF's for free. Good luck with your project!

hmm, I know how to make PDF's, just worried about illegal sharing of my products. Oh well, thanks for the information - I'll just have to trust people.

Was interested in that software myself and will monitor the replies to see if anyone has had any experience with it.
Saw some a website called Copyscape that you subscribe to and they can tell you if anyone and everyone is using any of your web published material on their sites (presumably without your permission), but it doesn't work for copies of pages off web. Since a lot of people print or make CD copies of files and share them that doesn't help.

You don't have to trust people just make sure that your pdf is secure. You can use a password and disable all editing features (copy & extract) then fill it with your links and you win even if people give it away.

With a properly secured pdf you won't need to worry about people spreading your book around. In fact with your links embedded you'll actually want to spread the book around yourself. The embedded links are sure to be worth more than the loss of sleep of someone else offering your secured ebooklet for nothing.

Think win-win and give them away for free for subscriptions if you can. Stone Evans has done this with his Dotcomology booklet and he's definitely been repaid very nicely. If you want an example check out my Internet Marketing Explained link in my signature. Cheers!
