Content Rewritting Software

Look, I know some people may not like me asking about this. I want to make it very clear, I am not doing this to be shady. I have access and full rights to some good original content. However, so do a lot of other people. I don't want to publish the same content as everyone else.

I know there is software out there that will rewrite articles. I see a lot of value in this for my own articles as well. I imagine writting one article for my site and sending some rewrites to various Article Submission sites. That way, I have the only copy of my article on my site, while I still get the benefits of Article Submission.

What I would like to know is if anyone has any opinions on software to do this? Does anyone use anything like this?

I have a friend that recently developed this.
I will let him know about this thread in case he has time to answer.

It would be fun if someone who has this would post a before and after article. I have heard you get better results if you throw a keyboard into a barrel full of monkeys and roll them down the hill.

Here are some results from actual use:

Bottom line: If you are using it on content you have rights to and don't expect any human visitors to read it, go for it. These things kill your credibility in seconds.

It looks like an extremely simple text replace script along with a thesaurus. You mean people would actually pay for something like that? :O

If you're serious about creating a usable website, stay away from those software packages. As marketjunction's link shows, they're kind of a job. Many of them just swap words from a thesaurus--usually with awful results, and some try to rearrange sentences from active to passive voice, and vice versa--with even worse results.

Better to just pay a low cost content writer to rewrite your content (usually you can get that for about $.02/word) and then spent 15 minutes fixing any grammar and spelling errors they've made. I've done that with a number of sites... good results from www (dot) keywordcafe (dot) com (prompt turnaround, good prices, and only minimal editing of the work they send back on my part).

(bah, stupid rule to stop self promotion stops me from posting a link to a site I have no ties to)

Wow, that would actually be pretty interesting stuff to use.. Can you explain how it exactly rewrites the article?

I've read that ArticleBot will do it.

Good luck with that.

I have tried several of these "Article Rewriters" and so far have found that you either get garbage out of them, or spend so long choosing the word it wants to change from a list of options that you may as well do it yourself.
My advice is to go through an article you intend to use and change it yourself.
One other thing to bear in mind is that you have a unique style of writing, if you put in some articles you didn't write, with a few changes to make them unique, you will have lost your character from the articles. Obviously this only matters if you want to be read, and admired for your work

Hi

If you're using someone else's article then my advice would be to simply add your
own introduction and conclusion to it just to give it a bit of uniqueness in the eyes
of the search engines but also to give people reading it on your site a little bit of
your own input.

Of course, you need to make it clear that any introductory or conclusive comments
belong to you and not the original article author.

A method I use is an "editorial box" that allows me to add my own little comments
to an article without disrupting the original author's work. It also then makes it clear
to my readers that I'm a real person putting the site together and giving my own
input rather than just some automated content machine throwing articles on pages.

If your intention is to submit these software-modified articles to the directories
then I'm really not sure if that's going to be ultimately beneficial. Sure, you might
get some backlinks to your site but if the article is horrible to read then any publisher
worth their salt won't want it on their site.

Putting your name to a well-written article and submitting it to a directory is a great
way to get potential visitors to your site to respect you before they even visit. They
read your article and think "this guy makes some good points, I bet his site will be
useful."

If you're selling products on your site then it means that they will be more open
to your recommendations as you've already imposed your "expert" status upon them
via your well-written article.

If your articles are poor then all that article will really do for you is maybe get you a
few backlinks to help with google rankings. Personally, I'd rather submit a well-written
article and attract the interested, respectful visitors. They're worth more to me in
the long run.

Best Regards

The best way to do it is NOT to automate but outsource to companies that plug in original research. Make sure you pick a company that compares its text against the Web to determine originality.

Plagarism and violating copyright destroys your credibility. Unless you actually own the rights to the article (and not just the distribution rights) you really don't want to do this.

(of course, if you're really just going to write a bunch of scrapper sites, you had no credibility to begin with)

Write an intro, write a conclusion, quote the article, and cite the source. Don't be lame.

Geezus! What is going on here? Again, someone interjects their stupid opinion when it has nothing to do with what I am asking! Stop assuming you know what I am doing! You don't!

For the record! I am not scrapping. I signed up for a free monthly article newletter. Each month I get a bunch of custom written articles on a single niche topic. In exchange for being on this list, they can send my email address to copywritters looking for custom work. These articles have not been copied from other sites, however everyone else who is signed up with this company get the same articles. I was simply looking for a way to easily change the articles enough to keep it from being seen as duplicate content by the SERPS. There is nothing about what I am doing that is illegal, immoral or even wrong. In fact, I am also adding my own researched original content and writting to the sites.

This is really getting rediculous. Every single question that someone has butted in on has been about this exact project and frankly I am rather tired of these remarks. Rather than making accusations, ask questions or help with the topic at hand, but stop assuming I am doing something illegal. Not every "touchy" subject involves illegal activities.

Atomm, you should probably calm down.

Anyway, I have had good results with www.keywordcafe.com ... I have had them do some rewriting work for me, and their work is cheap, always delivered on time, and I have been mostly satisfied with it (I have only ever had to perform minor edits to get the content to a point I am satisfied with it). I said all this already, though.
