Any professional or even non professional writers around? Introduce yourself.
I am new to the world of paid content work, I only started exchanging my talent for cash a few weeks ago, but already I am developing a quality client list. For the past few years I have written for my own sites, but find writing for others helps keep me sharp.
I write.. but only becuase I haven't yet found the right writer to take the job from me. I'm very anal about my content .
Yea, I have tryed to use people , and they did a good job, but then my wife started writing for our sites , and well now its free, and she writes real nice as well
I enjoy writing, and - teacher's words not mine may I add - am naturally talented at English in general. However i've not tried to sell anything yet. (If someone needs a very low priced content writer drop me a pm :P)
I'm a writer as well - I love writing, and I decided in February that I wanted to actually *monetize* it.
Took me numerous bad clients (Would you really pay your plumber .50 an article?) before I realized that I, along with my writing, was worth much more than that.
Mini-rant aside, it's good to see some writers! :)
I think I just might have gotten my first paid writing gig. I've written articles before on technology, web development and e-commerce. I've written mostly for myself but also for websites like SitePoint and WebsitePublisher.
Hopefully I'll be writing for a really cool blog soon though... I'll be sure to let you guys know if it pans out.
Hi everyone, I'm Becky - I recognise a few of you from over at DP. I am also a writer, I mainly write entertainment related content, movie reviews, celebrity biographies, features on particular celebs etc. Nice to see we have a few writers over here
Been writing (spanish editor) mainly for my website. Currently writing over 4 to 5 exclusive articles per week and doing it for the past 4 months (All in Spanish). My articles are all over the web and recently hired to write a business column for a magazine in Puerto Rico; reaching over 30,000 decision makers.
It is fun to write. Would love to dominate English in order to write for the English speaking business market.
To your success!
Diana

Marketing and sales strategies to grow your business (spanish website)
The hardest thing to do is convince someone that they need to pay for quality content. It's best just to give them your business card or info and let them fail. When that day comes, it always does, they will hopefully have your info and return.
Oh wait a minute. I think that's if you love something, let it go and if it returns . . .
I just thought I would pop in and say hi. My partner and I have been writing for years and now have a full-time business providing written work to webmasters and print clients around the world.
Nice to see at least one good writer from DP over here.
i suppose i'm an am writer. i've been writing for car club newsletters and such for years. blogging has been great, because it allows me to combine the fun of writing with the passion for cars. now of course it has become a second job, so i guess soon i'll be a pro writer.
