Pardon the interuption, but how do I go about finding a quality article writter? I have a few sites that I am currently working on developing and I am the guy who failed english comp 101 twice. Could I find a writter, give him the topic that I would like them to write on and then expect him/her to write the entire article?

Of course, although we are getting a little off topic here. Pm me the details and I can give you rates and samples.

If we could keep this thread for writers to introduce themselves that would be cool, thanks.

First sentence:

Quote:
Having a goodly number of quality backlinks is one of the most important factors in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) that result in high Search Engine Results Pages.
1. The sentence needs to be constructed better. Also you have crammed too much into one sentence. Break it down into two.
2. "goodly number" should not be used. However, if you are in England, perhaps this is acceptable. It's not in the USA.

Quote:
It is therefore important that, before the link exchange is affected, that we investigate as to whether exchanging links with another site is to our advantage.
1. Again with sentence construction.
2. "It is therefore important that" - This is an overly wordy phrase. Dump it.
3. The sentence utilizes two "that"s : "It is therefore important that that we investigate . . ."

There are other issues, but that will give you the idea. I did not check for logical flow or completeness.

Good Luck! :detective:

I'm a writer too (among the many hats I wear). I (actually we) have a website and we are in the midst of finding writers. Not making a lot of dough yet but we have a lot of traffic. I'm a newbie to the concept of "hired writers" (we've done 95% of the writting ourselves). Anyone want to share how they get paid for their articles? Is it per article? Is it by the length of article? Any info or guidance would be appreciated.

Your best and least confusing way to go is to come up with a starting fee per word and go from there.

If you ever write for magazines, you get paid per word ($1 for instance). The length of the article is a requirement and not a basis for the fee paid.

I have been writing for Internet based clients for long time. But the assignments have not been steady. I am looking for steady although modestly paying assignments.

A nice thread for introducing writers!

I am a newbie at EF and a writer as well. Presently, I am in quest for paying writing assignments that will enrich my experience and enhance my existing writing capabilities.

Let me know if there are prospects for me.

Sarah.

Hello, everyone.

I have not (yet) written professionally, but I enjoy writing and am good at English and grammar. I am interested in many subjects, including music, technology, math, and science, so I feel that I could write about a plethora of topics.

I post as frequently as I have ideas on my blog (the URL is in my sig).

I enjoy writing, so I would be open to writing articles for any of the web site owners perusing these forums!

I used to be a per article content writer until I developed my programming skills. I was making $10-50/article. At some point I realized how much more profitable it was to own my own content.

Now I own and monetize everything I write and I make well over $50 everytime I put pen to paper with no cap to my earnings.

There's a lot of money out their for writers, but you need to de-couple your earnings from your time. You need to own your own work and make it work for you. Check out the SiteShare program if you don't think you have the technical skills.
