Hey folks,

I just stumbled across this forum today and it looks like a great place for writers to discuss things. I have some extra time on my hands and need to fill out my daily/weekly schedule.

I don't write for peanuts or in other words, I value my writing and demand good pay. I consider myself to be an excellent writer and have been told so by many people.

Are there places out there in cyberspace I am not aware of where one could pick up decent paying gigs? I have spent lots of time and frankly wasted many bids on freelancer trying to find a steady client or two who is actually willing to pay a decent rate.

Make a research: visit different special blogs, forums etc. Only after this you can make a conclusion about decent sites.

I know a website named triond which takes unique articles. About pay, I think you should read their policy page.

I can relate to your post. I find myself wasting a lot of time looking, bidding, and nothing. Have you had any luck or found any new resources since your post?

Check freelance sites such as Odesk and the like. Also search for and visit various work at home type forums, groups, sites, etc.

Try to get the word out about your talents through your own site. You can showcase your writing talents that way too.

I agree that Odesk and Elance are good places to start finding jobs. In Odesk and Elance you can take assessment tests as well and clearing it will increase your chances of being hired by the employer.
