Hi..

One of my friend has started taking writing project for blog at home. She has to quote price but don't have idea.

She needs to write 300 words post each.
What she should cost per post of 300 words?
We live in India so if you can give idea in rupees!!
please help..

It all depends on:

How quickly she can write.
How well she communicates in the language.
How valuable her time is.

Depends on the quality of writing and word limit. It though varies between $2-$10.

It depends on the quality of her writing. I guess $1-$3 is enough.

I charge $0.05 for my writing. So for a 300 word article I get $15 US. $3 is only a penny per word. If her writing is absolutely horrible, I guess that's ok. However, if she is any good at all then a penny a word is just insulting.

I think it should be around $8-10 if writing is innovative and unique.

Hello, the standard price is $0.02 per word. Do the maths (300 x 0.02). If the quality of writing is high a range of $0.05 - $0.10 would be fine.

All the juicy pricing suggested by writing veterans out there sound too good to be true.
On this board, 80% of our 'project owners' unabashedly offer $1 per 500 words. The other day there was even a project offering 50 cents per 500 words.
The distinction is between actual clients and the brokers. Actual clients are fewer and the broker community is flourishing.
That said, if a writer can impress the client and focus precisely on the spec. I do agree that there are clients willing to pay more than a penny per word.

Yes unfortunately there are numerous people who are posting jobs at $1 per 500 words but believe me those people are not the actual uses of those articles. Actually the "middlemen" have no idea at all as to the actual requirements, pay you next to nothing and then tell you that the writing was not good enough. It is a tough system. Because there are so many new people joining in; some of them good others just writing because they think it is easy. However if you are considering a career in writing then $1 may be a starting rate but it is simply not enough. I offer quality content and I really do mean "quality". I genuinely like to write and could use the client's input because there are so many ways to approaching a topic.
In reality, the articles that get written for $1 is sold to the final customer for at least $10. The outsourcing conspiracy all over again.

But if you want it written in English, you will have to pay more than ONE cent per word!!!

If you are just starting, then you can somehow swallow the cheap labor. In my case, I started with $1/500 word and I realized that I was paid poorly. After that instance, I wanted to take a writing job that would pay me a better price, a price that I deserve.

My paid reviews now cost $10 per article. And I am happy with that price.

i am also an Indian and i suggest you to post at least 45INR for 300 words. it is minimum price and can be increased by improving the quality.

Hello, if you are looking for better paid copywriter job, look at (Removd) they pay more then 1$ per 500 words.

Well, I get paid 3$ per 1000 symbols at a side-job at my firm.
