I am going to buy a new laptop.

Will you please give me your Ideas and suggestion that which Laptop should I buy and how much it would cost?

My Requirement is it should be fast and high configured..

Try with any model of Acer. My daughter is at study of achitecture (Interiers design) and she have to use AutoCAD for develpment of the inside design of the accomodation space and she is very satisfy with them. I can recommend this type of laptop because for AutoCAD, Laptop have to be supplied with HQ graphic card, 1 Gb of RAM, 120 Gb on HD e.t.c. and he works so fast. About price check their site. First of all, you won't get a laptop that you won't have to spend a few hours configuring (most of which is removing all the crap a laptop comes with). So you can get that idea out of your head right now...it'll kill you otherwise.

Second, it really depends on your budget. You can buy a decent laptop for $600 CDN around here (Toronto).

My best suggestion would be to look at the refurbished (RB) market. There are a lot of perfectly good manufacturer-reconditioned laptops that often outperform new ones.

Well, i buyed a Dell Laptop and im very happy about it, got a good price with a few special offers, delivery is fast and sure (at least in Europe, dunno how it works in the US) and the commercial relationship was very pleasant.

I've got a Macbook, though it cost me a lot (£1300 approx. - about $2600US!!!) It's very good though and unlike some windows laptops, it doesn't come packed with lots of pointless applications. Some 3rd party software (aMSN - MSN for Mac is rubbish, Firefox for Mac) I've installed though is causing a few problems

If you want a highly configurable windows-based machine, try looking at the Dell Volstros. You can opt to have most of the 3rd party crap taken off them and they are WAY highly customizable. Plus the price is pretty competitive.

In Canada, (might be available in the US aswell) Seanix is a good company to deal with for notebooks. Once you get to the right operator, they'll load whatever you want.

In finding a laptop, you should go for the quality brands and It has all the requirements you'll ever need.

True, broken English, but true. The trick is getting a well built machine for a decent price and not over doing it. For example, the average person doesn't need a Quad core 4,77 Ghz super-processor. Most will fine that 2,2 Ghz works fine which is sometimes reflected as "low-end"

Where is gets complicated is when you have product low and high lines. Such as a Celeron from Intel always denotes their low end. For many people the lower model of the same clock speed will have no adverse effects. I'd say "quality" brand, then, is not as objective as you seem to claim.
