My computer's notepad file seems to be having trouble when:
I try to view a webpage's source, I get the following error (something related to system 32?)
notepadhelps.bmp
There are probably other programs where I have experience similar errors, but don't remember them off hand. It's as if it the notpad is hidden from all my other programs, however, I still seem to be able to access it from the start menu.
PS: I don't know if the uploaded image is alright, but couldn't find how else to add an attachment to a post.

That means that your computer can NOT find the program notepad.exe meaning you notepad file is in the wrong location or it has been deleted or renamed.
TALKUPATION would be greatly appreciated

I know it means it cannot find the program, but I have no idea where it is (as I can still open it from the start menu).

From the start menu, right click Notepad, select Properties from the popup menu, and it'll tell you where it is.
But especially if you want to view a page's source, use Notepad++ instead. It's free, has tabs for multiple documents, has syntax highlighting for html, and lots of other goodies. And it's free open source Windows ware.

Thanks for the program tip, so how do I tell my web browser (IE7), to use notepad++ as the "view source" program?

that would require you changing the program that .html, .htm files open with by default.

Where would that be?
(At first, I looked at Tools > Internet Options > Programs Tab, because I thought it would be there, but it wasn't).
Or are you saying I should just switch web browsers all together?

Like I said before, that is where I looked (The HTML reader was originally set to notepad, and I get that error that I displayed in my first post.).
But now that I downloaded Notepad++ (which isn't currently an option for the HTML reader) I'm trying to figure out how to be able to select it.

I don't remember where the option to override Notepad was ... try in Windows Explorer - like under My Computer or My Documents - then go to tools, folder options, and the File Types tab. Change html, htm, and anything else Notepad is associated with, to Notepad++ ... I think there was an easier option, but it's been so long since I've done it, I don't remember what it might have been.

I was able to find the htm, html files you were referring to, however there are no notepad changing options available, or how to read it, etc.

You know where notepad is in your computer correct. You said you can access notepad correct.
copy notepad not the shortcut the program to C:\WINDOWS\system32
make sure the name is notepad.exe
that will fix the missing part
then go to internet options and do what I said in the previous post

Thanks, that did the trick, now it will let me see the page source.
Although still don't know how to give the program the option of viewing the source in Notepad++

Just search your computer for notepad.exe and copy a copy of it back to the correct directory. I believe the default location is "%SystemRoot%\system32\notepad.exe" without the " ".
Notepad2 is an excellent product for html and scripting work but I like having both of them on my computer.

Thanks to everyone, My notepad error that I mention in the first post has been fixed
Now I am taking Forrest's advice and trying to figure out how to allow notepad++ become an option for viewing the source, I tried putting it in my "system 32" folder, but it didn't do anything.
