What is the best computer configuration for web design

I am keen to start web design career. What is the optimal computer configuration you would suggest?

well basic things i would guess would be things like screen reoslution ad a good tft (better quality compared to CRT)

please define what u mean by configuraton?

for simply html editing\php programming \apache you can use even 1ghz\256\40\15" screen computer or lappy.
If you will use Flash, PhotoShop, Corel, Illustrator and other graphic suites you need at least 1,5 ghz\512\40\>17" and video card 128 Mb and better.
I have 3 computers for webdesigning:
At work: Celeron 1.4\512\40\combo DVD\128video 21" CRT
Laptop: Sempron 3000+ \512\40\internal video Radeon\cd-dvd combo\15"
At home: P IV 3.0\1024\200\dvdrw\512 video\17" TFT
All of this configurations are good for webdesigner. But last is better :-)

Then a basic knowledge of html will be much more useful in the long run than what particular computer or software you have.
