I bought a Pentium D machine running on 3.4GHz and 1GB Ram and Windows XP Pro+SP2 but it wasn't running as fast as my Pentium Centrino 2.0 GHz laptop with identical software installed on both systems and loads of free hard disk space. Is it a good idea if I upgrade the ram to 2GB on the Pentium D machine?
