I was curious... recently I've added Monster.com to my spam list in Outlook. Despite this the daily emails keep showing up in my Inbox. Is there a reason for this or are they doing anything special to get by?

It's not that i mind them getting by... i was just curious if there's techniques, organizations or anything helpful that would help my own client email marketing to get by. are they doing anything fancy that gets past my junk email filter?

The problem is that you're probably NOT receiving the mail from monster.com . If I recall correctly, monster.com has an affiliate program and you may well be receiving the spam from an affiliate marketer who keeps changing their email address and/or SMTP IP address to be able to get around any filter you have.

There are two things that I've found you can do to get by a junk mail filter:

1) Don't send images. A lot of spam filters bust for that.

2) Don't send to anyone you haven't gotten permission to send to. This is the big one.
