There are many who claim to be free and best. But from my experience I have found that even time-limit software are also claimed by some vendors as free. I think the correct term for those product should be trial basis. aVast and AVG are the two antivirus which are free and at the same time works well.

Good point, I use AVG and think its a great tool. Wonder how long it will take until they remove the free version and make it paid only?

I use advast is a great product, only just switched to safe and secure's system as I support it otherwise still be using advast

I was not aware of adVast. Thanks for the recommendation. Regarding AVG, they already have a paid version but I believe, that is for professional users and corporate.

I have trial version of safensecure its for 3months so is a long one try it out if u want

a few month ago i had been introduce with AVG by my classmate, it's not just FREE but perform a better virus scanning..

i always make sure to scan for update, as long as you're updated AVG is always a good anti virus.

I use AVG nearly year. It is great tool!

I have been using AVG free for YEARS. You can't beat it.

I am also using bitdefender 8 free edition, it rocks - and Spybot - Search & Destroy and Spyware Terminator. All are free.

Best anti virus i think is McAfee its free with updates upon membership its best i like it....other for me is crap

I used AVG and it was great. It alerted me whenever I had a virus but the only problem was that it was slow.

"AntiVir" is pretty decent
