Do you feel that Linux needs Antivirus and Firewall just like windows? I am not sure about it because unlike windows I can't find people discussing at every corner of the globe about AV software and Firewalls.

Well, for the average computer Linux user, an Anti-Virus is not needed at all. Infact, I don't even use a firewall. I've been using Linux(Ubuntu) on my computer since 1-year, without ever having to re-install or repair or re-configure. Its so stable, that I've removed Windows from my PC!!
