I am getting the name of Thunderbird, but I can't find it in the mail options of my Mandriva Linux 10.1. I have also checked their site and found the source code. I am not good at compiling. How do I go about it?

I recommend either Evolution or Kmail (you might prefer it as part of Kontact).
