For last couple of weeks I am facing a strange problem. When I am trying to open my IE, it opens but soon stops responding. When I am sending this info microsoft, I am being told my comp might be affected with software and malware.

I checked thoughly for spyware, malware, adware etc but nothing is in my comp..
My other browsers are working absoloutely fine

Is anybody around is facing problem as this? Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I had plenty of problems when I used IE. my basic advice is www.getfirefox.com

Dan, I believe he wants advice on getting IE to work properly, not alternate browsers (I mean to say, he states his 'other browsers' work fine so perhaps he needs it for testing etc)

ebangla: Maybe try repairing (alt) IE?

Thanks admin, I really need to check whether my websites are compatible with IE so I need it often. as most of the visitors I get from IE.

Have you made sure you've got all the latest updates and service packs from Microsoft? http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Yes I have all the updates but still somehow its giving me trouble. Does anyone call tell me how to uninstall and then reinstall it again??
