I tried to use the first public beta, but the compatibility issues with McAfee at IE7 meant that I couldn't use it.

So far it rocks When it's released, IMO it'll be the best browser out there...
The only reason I'm not using it now is cos you can't have IE6 and IE7 running at the same time... and I need to test my sites. Looks like I'll be setting up a Virtual PC...

I'm still looking for a way to have multiple versions of IE on the same PC. I think I may have found some leads to doing that this morning and once I do I'll install IE7 and let everyone know how they can run multiple versions as well. I'm confident it will be better than previous versions of IE though some of what I've been hearing about it lately is making me think it's not going to include some of the things I had hoped. I've heard it's not as CSS compliant as I would have liked though that's based on what I've seen others say. I'll judge for myeslf.

For me though it will probably just be a testing browser. Firefox has become too much a part of my development tools to really go away.

I installed IE7 beta and to be honest I don't like it. It just feels "clumsy" and unnatural. It looks prettier, but that's about it. Plus, I'm lost without mouse gestures

I'm not a fan of the new interface, but it's definately a better IE. I'll still use Firefox, though

I think it's awesome that the IE team is finally waking up to how crappy their browser has been and is now trying to improve it. ;-)

I kinda like IE7. And I actually do like its new design, at least somewhat. Support for CSS and transparent PNGs is a plus -- and the RSS support is neato.

And you think Firefox doesn't have holes? How naive...

we heve been though this before.
I dont remember saying that it didnt have holes, but the mozilla foundation fixes them asap, microsoft just counts on that people dont care till the next version comes around.

and the holes in FF are fewer then IE.

Lets not turn this thread into another my browser is better than your browser. Both IE and Firefox work fine and different people will have different preferences in which they prefer.

Praveen was simply asking people who are using IE7 what they thought of it.

All software has holes, But that rate that those holes are patched becomes the main contributing factor of security and not the amount of holes found.
