Avira personal addition is very well to the system security. Such its services is good to system security and it is never effect on system processing speed.

I am using avira too, quite simple and powerful for a free antivirus, but still, the name is "free antivirus" not as powerful as the "pay antivirus"

Microsoft security essential is good anti virus.

I thought I would share this. I have a passion to work with open source software, specially I am always curious about the antivirus software. I have been thinking to see how they work and how to modify them to make my own and become a part of open source community to list my name as a useful programmer.

I have used many of them. Will list them accordingly,
Norton, removed it cause it slowed down the PC.
AVG, failed to detect many viruses.
Avast, using it currently, no problems till date.

I would give my opinion on this. I prefer ESET NOD 5. I have been using this for a year now . And updated regularly. They seemed to be perfect for me.

My previous antivirus was Kaspersky and ESET. Now, I'm using Microsoft Essentials.

Avira anti-virus is best for windows because i using this one for the past two years.
