I want to buy an iPhone Now we can see that almost all cellphones have bluetooth. But how often do you use it? transfer files such as pictures, sounds, or programs? Or just connect to your earphone?

(I want to buy an iPhone, but the iBluetooth does not support to send files.)

in fact,i am think about ipone and blueberry...some of them are too expensive..

they have iphones through ATT for $99 with 2 year contract!!!

I got one a couple of weeks ago and am loving it.

I have never used blue tooth for the sending files and such type of features to be honest, never had the need too. I use it a lot for the wireless ear piece though, especially when driving, here in Minnesota they are strict on phone policy while driving, but if your using a blue tooth earpiece they don't mind lol.

But yea I love the earpiece, convenient so you don't have to hold a phone up for a long talk too.

From some time now you can use stereo headphones for bluetooth to listen music as well; still no file sending though, but I have an iPhone for over two years now and I NEVER been in need to use it. (bluetooth of course, not the iPhone!)

in fact if your phone have memory cards is ok,i can downloap pic and music..

New updates should come soon. Apple never stays with the same hardware or software for long, they are always putting something new out there. I will be buying an iphone this coming week. About the bluetooh, well I'm pretty well with the wifi connection.

I use BlueTooth only if I need to transfer stuff from one phone to another. Honestly, I use BT only about 2-3 times per year

Could I suggest you other phone? HTC HERO for example.

Better look for the latest Iphone issued in the Market.

In my own opinion, Bluetooth is one of the important things if you are looking for a phone.

Yah, that's one of the advantages of using i phone.

In addition to that, based on ear-talks, iphones are best when it comes in playing musics. Is it right?

I strongly agree. Iphone is a nice toy if you want to get some attention from other kids in school, but it's horrible when it comes to serious work.

I would never use Iphone for business needs because HTC phones are much better in this case. However, Iphones are better if you want just another toy in your pocket.

The iphone doesn't support bluetooth from other devices because they do not use the same format files (this is what I was told by an AT&T sales rep, so don't quote me on that)

I'm not a big fan of the touch screen phones. I wanted a PDA that I could check my email, run full HTML browsers, post on forums..etc on. I just bought a blackberry 8820, which supports wifi. I have the personal data plan for unlimited internet. Not all blackberrys have wifi, but some of the newer ones do... I had to research which ones had it first. I mainly wanted a phone that I could do all of the above and have wifi for faster browsing. Although I am still on the 2G towers where I live and it is hard to find a wifi hotspot, I still love the personal data plan.

I have 2 browsers on my blackberry.. the default one that came with it and opera mini, so when i click a link on one browser I minimize it and go to the other one to read or click another link and by the time I am done with that browser the other one is finished loading.

I have only heard bad things about the iphone. The people that I know that have them don't like them. I personally wouldn't like it because of the touch screen. If you want my personal opinion for blackberry vs iphone I would say go blackberry, I love mine.

I choose not to get an iphone because of it's limitations (back then, no MMS, no video, no tethering).

I've got a blackberry (I hate it but, it does what I need).
My phone's camera has a flash so, it's useful for getting pictures of diagrams on whiteboards, etc. So, I use bluetooth for file transfer quite a bit. Better than using wires.
I also use it as a bluetooth modem for my laptop (iPhone's don't support this either). Another really useful item, my KDE desktop has a utility that will lock the desktop when the bluetooth device (my phone) isn out of range and unlock it when I come back.

When I bought my phone, I used the bluetooth initially very frequently. Every now and then I transferred files from my friends' mobiles. but now with time the used has became very less. now I need to use it only once in a few months.
