Hi
I have just downloaded Firefox (whatever the most recent version is...three I think). However, it doesn't display any Flash content. I have looked on search engines and it would appear I am not alone, however, I can't find a solution. Surely it shouldn't be as complicated to resolve as some forums suggest!
Any help would be great or it's getting binned!
As always cheers in advance

Have you installed the Flash Player for Firefox ??
I use Firefox all day every day, and the only flash I don''t see are the ones I've chosen to block with FlashBlock plug-in.

That should be there. Strange. What is the URL you are not able to watch Flash?

hi all
For years I have used Netscape with the 'view as firefox' option. This shows all Flash content. I decided to download Firefox itself for no particular reason (although I believe netscape is ending but not too sure). I have also downloaded the bang upto date flash plugin (ten something). However, I can't see any Flash on any site.
I have trawled the web for answers (I am not alone, do a quick search if you have nothing better to do) but to no avail. Some suggest it is a coding error so maybe there are some sites where the Flash is visable to me but I have not found one. But this would still mean that the vast majority of sites using Flash would be rubbish on Firefox so this seems unlikely!
This leaves me with a pretty useless browser unless I view things via Netscape.

cheers

I would make the following suggestion since you say you downloaded the latest Flash Player. Since Netscape (yes, it's DEAD!) also used a Flash plugin (it always needed it), you should probably try completely UN-installing ALL Flash players on your system, then re-installing the newest one again. Adobe provides an UNinstaller for Flash player and that's the one you should use. You may also have some old DLL's hanging around on your machine that you might need to ferret out and delete.

Here's Adobe's process for UNinstalling Flash Player:

You might also want to read this if you haven't already:

It happened to me the first time I installed firefox. What did I do? I install flash player plug-in from adobe.com and it works. I can now view videos from Youtube and other flash based websites.

Try to install the latest STABLE release of FireFox. Install the Flash plug-in via FireFox or check if Firefox has disabled the Flash plug-in. If this doesn't solve the problem try to use other browser(OPERA).

After you uninstalled, did you get rid of all the leftover DLLs and Registry snippets. Try using Revo Uninstaller which gives you the ability to scan your hard drive before uninstalling the program. What it does if find all the files and registry entries related to that program and after you uninstall it, it lets you delete all the leftover crap. You should give it a shot; might help you out here. Then try installing Flash again.

Hi Burnsie,

Actually, we have the same problem but then the only difference is that I know what's the cause why I can't see or watch any videos in the net.
What it needs is to download a flash player, preferably Adobe flash player.
And the only trouble until now, is that I can't download for I have limited privilege for the pc that I have been using were in Admin mode.

But in your case, I think you just need to download one.
