Hum, no...
X86 is a reference to the structure of the microprocessor.
Qnx, Linux, bsd, darwin, os/2 and many more can operate on x86, and mind you, they have their use.
Even os/2 still have applications developed as of today.
Not to bash, but the microprocessor is not tied to the os (really "os" like operating system, not "dos" specifically) in any way.
