I don't think there is a "best" operating system. I think in today's day and age it really depends on your environment. Certain applications run better on certain operating systems, and that's how you should determine which to use.

I have been using xp and have not not tried vista or windows7.

In my opinion the best operating system is Windows XP SP3 as it is vey user friendly. Also we can use it need least specification of PC. All software are smoothly work in XP.

Windows 7 is without a doubt the best OS till date owing to it's graphical enhancements and the ability to track down any issue without your manual intrusion.

I've used Windows XP for the longest time and have never had any problems with it. In my usage, I would say that XP is the best.

I recently had the chance to try out the new Windows 7 and so far, it looks pretty amazing. Haven't been able to test it out fully yet so that's why I can't say if it trumps XP.

Fedora is one of the best i can say.

I'm still a big fan of XP pro for my workstation, however if your talking hosting I think CentOS still wins over most people.

It's a matter of opinion: Linux.

I like everything about Windows 7 except that internet browser only has one icon on the task bar. Which is a big exception, so overall I prefer Windows XP.
