I tried Windows Vista recently but I've returned to my old XP OS.

The Vista I tried, used too much of the memory though I got 1 GB and still not that convenient for my desktop.

For the server I choose Linux but when it comes to my laptop I choose Windows XP.

I prefer windows XP. I still don't trust windows vista. I heard, sometimes things is not easy to use on windows vista. XP is best.

i still prefer XP pro than vista much more stable when it comes to performance, and many program does not run on vista.

I have been used Windows 98 for many years. But when Windows XP released, i changed my operating system into Windows XP. In my opinion, Windows XP is very user friendly. It gives you the freedom to do what you want at home and at work—simply, reliably, and more securely.

There is no "best" OS. I guess it's just whatever we find most convenient. I used to looove XP lol but I've fallen under some circumstances which forced me to use Vista. I actually like it this time, I love it! [I tried it before but didn't like it too much lol]

windows vista ultimate rox
with service pack 1 it has become much faster and also the issues regarding compatibility issues have decreased considerably.

I agree!! Windows vista as some new programs that are pretty kewl too. Like Windows mail! It's reallt gotten better and its still improving!

I using Linux for internet purposes, because it takes quite a performer to hit me with a virus, and use windows xp for everything that is NOT internet required. Simple as that...FOR NOW

Side note: It's quite impossible to figure out every 'threating' command in Linux..Now don't get me wrong, it's still possible to do damage on a specific Linux Distro, but to target a specific Linux USER would be next to impossible.

I don't have the best operating system because I appreciate all versions of Windows, Linux and MAC OS.
