Why do you have a web site?

Have you used it yet? Windows Server 2003 has until now been the best available operating system, depending heavily on your criteria. It's been independently benchmarked as the fastest, with Solaris 10 not far behind. Obviously, it's got the most applications written for it. The most viruses, too.

I'm curious who's tried it, what their opinions were, and so on. More to the point tho I'm curious what people's reasons are and what their companies are doing?

I've been playing with it. Initial reactions are good in terms of functionality, however i've not had the chance to stress test it (and we all know that Microsoft.com went down when they first moved their site over to Win2008).

Things are easier, however occasionally you do have to really dig to get to the option you want as MS feel they know best. So a little annoying there.

No, usually it's intended for enterprise environments and hosted applications that run within Windows.

Personally, I go for Linux servers. I used to work in a Windows Server (2003) environment and I hated it!
