How many computers do you have (and what operating systems do you use?)

At work:
- 2 Desktops
- 3 laptops

all running XP

At home:
4 desktops running XP (due to driver compat mainly). the serve the roles:
- Music production for running Cakewalk Sonar, ProTools and mixing
- for the family to browse and play
- a Dell pizza box dedicated to Home Insteon automation
- garage computer - waiting to fill some gap, currently used as a door stop

1 laptop for browsing running XP

I have several computers:

This Computer: A Stone Computers minitower with 1GB of RAM and a 150GB hard drive. It has a 17" screen and runs Microsoft Windows XP SP2 but I also use a Linux Ubuntu live disk.

Older Computer: An ADVENT minitower which is now dead.

Main Computer: A Dell computer with 1GB of RAM and a very large hard drive with an additional 400GB external hard drive. It has a 19" screen and runs Microsoft Windows XP SP2/Microsoft Windows Vista and I also use the Linux Ubuntu live disk with that.

Laptop 1: A Fujistu Siemens laptop which I have had for four years. I very rarely use this one, but it has a glossy screen, wonderful keyboard and a good sized hard drive. Runs Microsoft Windows XP.

Laptop 2: A Sony Vaio laptop which I have had for four years. I hardly use this one now though. It has a widescreen with a medium hard drive but I'm not sure about the RAM. Runs Microsoft Windows XP.

Laptop 3: An ADVENT laptop which runs Microsoft Windows XP but has a small hard drive, medium sized screen but is very sturdy.

And that's it.

I've got a one pc running vista ( uninstalling for xp) and another one with windows Xp, with a laptop running Windows xp also.

I had two computers. One desktop and one laptop computer. Desktop computer is used for homely purposes and laptop is used for office purposes. Windows 98 is used in desktop computer and Windows XP is used in laptop computer.

i have a dell inspiron 1520
having 2gb ram
250 gb hard drive
2.2ghz 4mb cache
256 nvidia graphic card.
operating system -vista ultimate

and my pc works like a gem
its simply superb and i love it and am very satisfied with its performance

And my old company is a large company have around 600 computers, 2000pro, XP SP2, Vista, brand Dell - HP - IBM etc..

We have 3PCs at home but none of them are mine. My siblings own them.
Their OS are all Windows XP.

I'm currently running a machine at home that I built myself, which is mainly used for gaming. Then another one that is just sitting there, a laptop that needs a new battery, and them my sisters machine. All of which have XP installed.

I'm looking at getting another laptop, possible a MacBook but that will be a while off as I've recently had a new car.

3 Machines total...

1. Custom built desktop ( Pentium 4 3.2Ghz Machine 1 Gig o memory ) Running Windows XP
2. Sony Vaio Laptop ( Model VGN-CR320E ) Running Linux
3. Macbook Pro ( By the way, I hate the long clicker button on that machine, always did )

I enjoy what I have, especially now a days that I don't work, and can't afford anything else.

I have three desktop. One is using by me and two by my staff, all have windows XP. All are assembled one, first one is assembled by a professional hardware and rest two by me. So you can think that I am quick learner as well.

i use a laptop myself, a DELL Inspiron 1520, runs Ubuntu for everything except music production and games (only played on lan-partys anyway), so win XP is unfortenetely still a must

i also have a custom built desktop pc which is used by my brother, also runs XP for games and Ubuntu for everything else

i also have another three custom built computers (made from old parts, given to me by neighbours in return for fixing their computers), all of them run ubuntu, two of them are used for servers, one is a production one (if i can say so, it runs 3 sites so far), the other one is a sandbox (test server) and a download/seed box, the third one is used by my mother for online banking and by my father for listening to shoutcast (online radios)
