I think that the unique selling point for Mac is now the ability to simultaneously run XP within Parallels or VMWare Fusion. I intend to try the latter. Danny Sullivan showed it to me and it's freakin' awesome!

I would suggest Xp becuase if you have a fast computer running, xp will fit you perfectly, and vista, well vista is still in it's beta stages, with alot of small eroors and glitches that make the program look bad, although no one ever notices, vista is still being developed.

I like XP and Vista in different ways.

Vista - Great using it when I'm working on recording new beats for music.
XP - I just like XP overall, friendly with many things I use my PC for.

I also use a mac at school which is mainly used just for designing.

I have not take Mac and never been touch Mac, my personal and office pC all running at XP, but I have tried Vista for some verification test

what I have read on the other forum which is "never use vista", I am quite confused, since I'm currently using XP which much comfortable to me I will stick to that for now, but if you want knew OS you can try other anyway there is no harm in trying new things.

In my opinion. I have Vista. I should've gone wit ha macbook pro.

I'm a PC guy myself, but that is only because I'm so experienced with a PC. I can appreciate the Apple interface and the beauty of their designs, but the fact that I don't know any of the shortcuts slows me down so substantially that I can never see myself switching.

If I was ever going to switch away from Windows, I would probably switch to Ubuntu linux. It's awesome, has great tools, and almost all of my shortcuts work. It's a great platform, and one you should consider.

If you're looking to choose one, pick one based on what you're comfortable with and what you already own software for.

XP is better for high quality software.
