Wazup guys. I'm planning to buy a new model laptop for 2007. I want a laptop that can do graphics, gaming and video editing and general webmaster stuffs. The best laptop for a serious and busy webmaster.
I'll really appreciate your comments more especially when it is based on experience.
I want a laptop that is durable, portable and fine in design.
Please guys advice a brother.
Tanx y'all.
Peace

ok, Alienware makes a specific laptop that has everything you are asking for, only thing is, is there a little on the expensive side, but is a good buy
I have 2, one I use for business"web design and graphics" and the other sctricly for gaming, the only different in each is one has a much better graphics card, and more ram, thats the gaming one

I would suggest the HP Pavillion DV6000. I think this should have everything you are looking for. I believe its only $800 or less.

If you mentioned your budget you might get some better answers. If you have the cash you can get a laptop that is almost as powerful as any desktop.

The one Alienware I've owned died pretty quickly ... although it's probably half Windows' fault. I had it set to hibernate when you close the lid; one night this didn't happen, and the machine seems to have overheated. I wouldn't buy another of their machines ... even if Dell owns them now.

Wow. Don't buy Alienware. I think Dell XPS M1530 is the top knock. Compaq laptops are also good.

Toshiba X205-SLi3, dual graphics cards, dual hard drives, 2 GBs of ram and a nice computer all around. I know because I have one. I got mine for the HDMI output and the HD-DVD drive.
But I agree with hostquack, if you want a computer for gaming, a desktop is your only option. Although the X205 will play games using DX10 it doesn't compare to the graphics a desktop can render.
If it's space your worried about and still want a gaming machine, build a microATX computer with a single 8800GTX graphics card. They are small and powerful.

I suggest an HP dv series too. I have one from dv2500 series, 14.1 inches, 2 GB and 160 disk. I use for all: gaming, design, programming and posting
And HP is the best guarranty. Toshiba are good, but i have better experiece with HP.

It depends on your price range but the current HP models are good though you are better off getting a desktop for gaming and a 14" laptop rather than one giant laptop.

i appreciate all your comments. i was actually eyeing a Dell M6300 but no one mentioned it. Is dell not very good? Its very popular in my area and it seems to be doing good (this comment is on the sideline, please if you have bad experience with dells, point it out).
The price really isnt very important, i want a laptop that is ultra-modern, strong and durable. Its not that am a game freak or anything. i just want a laptop that is new and is capable of everything and can stand the test of time so i dont need to think of changing it very soon.
I hope you all get my drift?

There are some techs that say dell=hell but some worship dells.
I personally had 9 different dell laptops, some ibms some toshibas, some sonys and some HPs over the past 10 years.
My vote goes to dell laptops!
