In the main HTML page I am asked to have an ‘UPLOAD button’. Once I clock on this button another form should pop up where the user has to enter the title of an activity, its date, the URL that has the detailed info about the activity and an accept button. Again once I click on accept, I should go back to the main page, and only the date and the title of the activity should appear in the main HTML page and when I click on the title of the activity in the main HTML page, this should take me to the page that has the info about the activity.

You need a programming solution - so I'm moving your post to that forum.

There are two problems with your idea:

1) Opening up popup windows is generally not recommended, since it requires additional computer resources (as each browser instance takes up a certain chunk of memory).

2) In order for your main window to be modified by your popup window, you would require some form of Javascript. Not everyone has this enabled.

I'd suggest building your functionality without popup windows. Everyone can use them that way.

It's not a "upload" solution you are after, that would involve sending a file to the server. This is simply a data entry form.

Before we can even begin to point you in the right direction, we need to know the server side code this is needed in and the database you will be using.
