hey guys

I'm trying to get a loop in flash to work but for the life of me i can't figure it out.

What i'm trying to do is loop a movie clip back to the MAIN layers. So what's going on is i have this movie clip that plays, and when it's done, i want the whole movie to go back to the beginning. Now, if i do the simple
GoToAndPlay ();

it just takes me back to the first frame of the movie clip. They are both on the same scene. I'm stumped. Give me a hand. I can send the file to whom ever.

also, i'm an intermedate flash person, so if it's an easy fix, then i apologise and please dont fire bomb my house.

Do you have a label on the frame where you want to re-start the loop or are you using just a frame number ? Are you using movie clips or all on 1 timeline ?

In more detail:

I have 3 layers on the main movie. I have 3 keyframes in the MAIN movie, and on the thrid key frame, i have my movie CLIP (for tweening and animation). Now, after the movie CLIP has played, i want the MAIN movie to go back to the first keyframe. As far as labeling is concerend, i tried that, but maybe i got it wrong.

If you're using gotoAndPlay, then I think you need to use _root.gotoAndPlay(). I would use a frame label rather than a frame number.

It works! Now, i have a button problem, but it's all good!
