Hi,

Can anyone please give me some real use for the Cache-Control HTTP//1.1 header and how it should be used to lower your Website's bandwidth requirements?

How and should I set Cache-Control on images and stylesheets? Which documents?

How to use it efficiently? Any tips or experiences?

My Website is written in PHP, hosted on an Apache server and I am familiar with how to modify headers on PHP documents.

cache control is mainly for proxy servers and if you stop pages being cached your useage will very likely go up

I do not want to prevent them from being cached. I am trying to figure out the best practise for caches.
