I need to put either a random number generator code OR a timestamp code into a banner ad to track impressions for each unique user. At least, this is how it was explained to me. I don't have the first clue how to do this.
I have no clue what a timestamp is, much less how it would function within a banner code. Secondly, I do know what a random number generator is but thus far I've only found codes that are the size of the something awful archives.
Once again, for an affiliate banner code, I need to insert a random number generator or timestamp. I need the shortest code possible to do this, of course.
If anyone knows where I could go to learn this information, or if anyone knows a simple code for this that I don't know enough to find on google, please tell me.
I've been working on this for the last six hours and I'm afraid I'm going to start killing people if I don't figure it out soon.
