If someone could help me with this, I would be most grateful. I have tried several different methods and apparently, I get different results, all bad, each time.

What is the best way to embed a sound clip, er an MP3 in a web page?

There is some sound via a flash clip and also there is an MP3 that kicks in. It used to start playing right away, but, now almost a minute after page loads.

Is there an efficient way to have music start playing right away? I've tried frames and embedding in flash with not much success.

It played right away for me.

It used to for me too. I'm using the <EMBED> tag. I guess if that's the best way, there's nothing else to do...

Streaming through flash would be the only way to get it almost loading instantly. I haven't checked the file size of that MP3, but even on broadband it's going to take a number of seconds to load. I would recommend putting it into Flash then adding a loading section to the Flash. Then the flash and audio will by synchronised when the MP3 has loaded.

Hmmm... Flash it is a good idea, but there may be problems if you have too much sounds... It may be not working properly - for example, sounds can be loaded with delay...
