Can anyone recommend any good email newsletter CGI scripts?

1. Pretty easy to install.
2. Requires email confirmation.
3. Deletes bad addresses.
4. And possible lets you get a little perosonal info such as their name (at least) and maybe age...Because I would like to give out prizes and I need their names...

I use Topica for one of my sites, but their sign-up process is rather long and full of ads...I think a lot of people subscribe, but don't like the sign-up process (scares them)...

Thanks

Hum... what languages and databases does your server support? If you have ASP, then what email components are available? I don't know of any off hand, but I can point you in the direction of some good places you can look if I knew what the server supports.

I won't have time to go searching in any detail as I'm back to work tommorrow afternoon, but it certainly would help if you could narrow things down...

One last thought about the age... are you aware of COPPA? (Changed URL after finding problems getting to the first site) I don't want you to go breaking any laws that you may be unaware of... having said that, it might be a good idea to put yourself a privacy policy. You are welcome to use mine as a basis if you like, it is fairly generic and shouldn't need too much editing.

I think my host supports just about anything... PHP and Perl I know of right off. I have experience installing some PERL scripts but that is about all...

I know of few places to find some, I was just wondering if there was a particular one you use or recommend...

The COPPA stuff is taken care of during the sign-up process when it ask if you were born before a certain date I believe...

The reason I mentioned COPPA is due to the fact that some of the solutions you will find may have been written and not updated before it came into effect... better to be safe than sorry.

As for what sites I'd recommend, well to be honest I don't really use many prebuilt scripts anymore as most of the functionality is built into my site as it were. There is only the search script I'm using that isn't part of the system that I've built up from various examples on the net.

But, these are my top destinations when I'm looking for a script.

Perl - http://cgi.resourceindex.com/
PHP - http://php.resourceindex.com/
ASP - http://www.aspin.com/

I know they aren't the only scripting sites out there, but they are my first point of call when I'm looking for one.
