I want to install music on one or two of my pages but my webhost doesn't directly support music files.

I only discovered this yesterday, and they told me it is possible to do, but in order for me to play such files I would need to create my own HTML code... Is this a simple thing? Could anyone here create me such a code?

Thanks, Brit

In the header type
< bgsound src="yoursoundclip.filetype" loop="-1" >< /head >
This should play a .wav or .mp3 endlessly, but it's from memory and I haven't used it for a long time...

The only files my host supports are these...;

Flash
PDF
MS Word
MS Excel

Which of the above can I onload the music file into... It is on a wma file (windows media audio). Would it need to be transfered into something else for it to work?

Thanks!
Brit

I think there's a way to do it with flash... But I'm not sure. Try to make a flash project with just the music or sound you want played. Save, upload, then use the bgsound src tag to try to play it...

If this doesn't work... I have no idea...

Yes, I have heard that too... What exactly does a flash project involve... Is it something difficult?

Thanks,
Brit

For this it would probably be pretty simple... But you'd need to get Macromedia Flash or something similar...

If you're interested, I could host the file and you could link to us. Our host allowes remote linking.

My question is....
Is your hosting free or paid?
If you are paying for hosting you should be able to do almost anything you want. It sounds like you have a very limited free hosting.
I would suggest changing hosing. www.Topcities.com has a great free hosting that allows image and music files to be created and used.
I set them up for friends and family.
If you need some great music jukebox codes let me know.
