I created a ton of sub-domains on my server using Cpanel...Only one thing, I don't want to get penalized for having so many subs. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to remove sub-domains from my server other than using cpanel to do it? That's only removing 1 at a time, I would like to remove them in batches if possible.

Thank you
-Brian

why do you think you will get penalised for sub domains unless you were using them to fake link pop or something else to fool the SEs.

If Cpanel is your only access to the site thats how it will have to be done

There is no other way unless you have direct access to the server.

Removing a sub domain involves removing the dns entry and removing the httpd virtual host entry as well as removing the directories that were used to hold the files for the sub domain.

Like chrishirst says if you are doing nothing wrong with the subdomains then you should be fine

Hi,

I wasn't trying to fake the search engines or anything, just that I created all the sub-domains first, (not thinking...) when I should have created a couple (at most) to start with, and add the content to each sub-domain, then continue to add. Instead, I just created 600 sub-domains....Yep, created each one of them one out of a time, and since last night I have been deleting them one by one...When I am fully ready to put the content into the sub-domains, I will add them...I guess it's just another lesson learned...

It's another days worth of internet / search engine expern'ce.
