Hi! I have heard of W3C compliant, but a new client just asked if I had any experience with 'Bobby 508' Compliant design. I guess Section 508:

"... ensures that Federal employees and members of the public with disabilities have access to and use of information and data, comparable to that of the employees and members of the public without disabilities–unless it is an undue burden to do so."

So, has anyone had experience with 'Bobby 508 Compliancy'? Is it siimilar to the W3C, where you enter you site URL at the W3C website and it does a check making you aware of problems, or is there more involved while creating the site? Like maybe they need more buttons, or maybe forms should be simpler, or don't use text graphics . . .

Thanks for any insight!

Kristi

i have expirience with it, my sites http://www.liza-kliko.com
http://www.liza-kliko.com/art
http://www.liza-kliko.com/laurel-wreath
and others, all comply with the 508 standard. it's a bit more strict then w3c or WDG, it's about having it flawless in accesabily. if u make a fast loading, clean code (and i dont mean clean - valid, but clean by means of little code that makes many commands and as much as possible is controlled by the CSS), it is likely to pass bobby's validation, or SS. it must have perfect meta tags as well. just analyze it with whichfire after u made one page and see what errors it gives u

good luck!

Well that doesn't sound too bad! I use Dreamweaver so the code is usually pretty clean - and you said it likes it when you use CSS? That's good too! THanks for the input - BTW - your sites are really nice!
