Hey guys + girls

When listing items, I can either have eBay host my images (for a fee) or I can have my webspace host them. I want to do the latter, but not sure how.

eBay says this is the code to get the image:
<img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/images/yourpicture.jpg">

My situation is: I use my ISP's space and am hosting a web site on it (where my images are); my web editor is DW XP; my regular address is the long one, belonging to the ISP (http://w3.mivlmd.cablespeed.com/~my_web_name_here/).
So, I bought a domain name and now use a redirection service to point to it.

In this confusion of http's... how can I fill in the eBay code (above)? How do I go about finding the images that are in my site to appear on eBay? I've tried and I'm doing something wrong, cause all I get is the little "x" - missing file symbol. DO I use the long address or the domain name? Am I not being able to do it b/c of the redirection service??

Many thanks for any light you can send my way.

Some redirection services (like Mydomain.com) allow you to redirect all parts of your site so:
http://www.yourdomain.com/images/animage.gif
would be redirected to:
http://www.yourisp.com/longlongaddre...es/animage.gif
but most don't. Because of this, you should use the long domain when linking to images, so for your image for example you would use something like:
Code:
<img src="http://w3.mivlmd.cablespeed.com/~my_web_name_here/images/auctionimage.jpg">
if the image was stored as auctionimage.jpg in the images folder in your site.

It's not working as of now...does the file I need to use have to be active, on a html doc. in my site or just uploaded to my server space?
The file name is "circular_box_in.jpg".
Could those underscores have anything to do with it?

once you have uploaded the image to your server check that it is online - then right click on the image and get the full url from the properties

for example - the reply image on this page is located at http://www.webmaster-talk.com/images/reply.gif

the only thing that would stop this from working is if hotlinking to images to your site isnt allowed - ie. someones changed .htaccess
