I've been having trouble using Blogfeed (http://www.kalsey.com/tools/blogfeed/) to generate an RSS page from the html of my weblog (www.thepequod.org.uk/blog.htm).

Although I think I've done everything right (e.g. transferred as binary, changed path to perl, changed permissions), all I get when I go to www.thepequod.org.uk/cgi-bin/Blogfeed.pl is the dreaded page error.

Just wondered if anyone had had success using this program and, if not, if you could suggest an alternative way of automatically converting HTML to RSS, other than writing the RSS code manually every time I add a post to my static webpage.

Have you made the .pl file executable? Do a CHMOD from your FTP client if not.

For converting HTML to RSS on the fly - you could write some PHP code or use some off the shelf solution such as...
