I need a simple, fast website builder for my free hosted customers. It needs basic features like guestbooks and counters.

Ideally, it would be installed as a /builder in everybody's virtual server.

Does anybody have any ideas as to where I can find one? All the ones I've found so far have large numbers of templates, and cost a fortune in licensing fees.

Cheers

Ask nicely on here and someone may be able to create you a free template.

Ooh, that'd be nice.

So far it seems my only option is to specifically hire somebody to custom script it for me: http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder...00518181892820

I think harveycarpenter is after a generic base template similar to those found on freewebs etc that is used as a default index page until the user makes their own. Rather than creating sites for users.

Yes, but not these people! My target audience is people who've never really touched an HTML editor, for this package anyway.

I'd need a default index page, yes, but the main thing would actually be the website creator. More details can be found on the RAC link...

Yep, that's what I need...

Wonder if this should've gone in the WYSIWYG editors section.

Have found a coder to do the work for $150. Shame I'm having to pay for it, but oh well.

Actually, I suppose it would make quite an interesting project, and it would probably be quite useful for quite a few people. Then again, I need to have it done in 1-2 weeks and don't have much time to dedicate to it myself, so I might just have to sacrifice the $150
