Java applets don't seem to work in my IE6 browser (Load Java applet failed error message), bur I' quite sure I DO HAVE Java Runtime (1.4.1) downloaded and installed.
Where could the problem lie, then?

Make sure you have Java enabled in your browser. I think that would be the first place to go.

Go to Tools, then Internet Options, and click on Advanced tab to see if it is enabled.

do you get this message for all applets or only for some? because normally this is a message you get when the applet archive (jar) path is wrong or applet class is not set ok
