I am as new as they come I dont have any software or any knowlege of PHP. I know some HTML but would like to know PHP. I was looking for a starting place so do you have any suggestions?

You could start by installing EasyPHP or ISS on your own PC and try it with www.php.net...you will see it is VERY simple.
