I want to make a web site for my cousin. I want to use my own design. I need to somehow allow my cousin (who doesnt know anything about HTML) to add pictures and simple family news updates to her site. This is just a site about her new baby and her family. Where do I start? I have looked up Content Management Systems, but they all look way more intense than what I need.

Build your own, that way you will have everything you want, and nothing that you don't want

I knew I was going to get that response!! lol! So anyone know of any tutorials that can help me get started with building my own. Im not the best at programming, but I have taken some classes in programming and know a little about PHP.

I personally use sitekreator.com, seems very easy to work with. I already have several sites with it (including one for my 3-year old son) and am quite pleased with the service

Used to work with Dreamweaver - but too much of a hassle...can't update my site while travelling, have to deal with hosting....no time for that
